    According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the national average physician’s fee for one BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment is $317. However, this cost will vary by location and is influenced by the amount of botulinum toxin type A that is administered during the treatment. Dr. Chin’s staff at the Aspire MediSpa will provide you with a more detailed price quote during your initial consultation with Dr. Chin and his staff.

    BOTOX® Cosmetic leaves no scarring and is an entirely nonsurgical treatment. Patients can look forward to their results without concern for potential scarring.

  • Pain

    Discomfort during treatment with BOTOX® Cosmetic is usually brief and minimal. Patients can return to their daily activities without discomfort or pain.

  • Recovery

    BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments take approximately 30 minutes and have no recovery or downtime. Some patients may experience temporary redness, bruising, or swelling around the injection site, but these side effects subside quickly.

  • How do I know if I am a good candidate for BOTOX® Cosmetic?

    Good candidates for BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments are at least 18 years old, physically healthy, and are not pregnant or nursing. They should also have no neuromuscular diseases. If you have facial volume loss as well as wrinkles around your eyes and forehead, you may be a candidate for treatment with dermal fillers as well as BOTOX® Cosmetic. Some candidates may receive better results from facelift surgery than BOTOX® Cosmetic. Dr. Chin and his staff will determine if you are a good candidate for BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments when you meet with him for your consultation.

  • What areas of the face can BOTOX® Cosmetic treat?

    Dr. Chin uses BOTOX® Cosmetic to treat wrinkles in the upper face, specifically crow’s feet and wrinkles around the eyes, between the brows, and on the forehead. For wrinkles in the mid to lower face, Dr. Chin recommends treatment with dermal fillers.

  • Does BOTOX® Cosmetic prevent you from making facial expressions?

    While BOTOX® Cosmetic stops certain muscle contractions so that facial wrinkles do not form, it will not prevent you from being able to make normal facial expressions. A frown, a smile, a surprised look, etc. will continue to look natural even without the facial wrinkles around the brow, forehead, and eye area.

  • Is BOTOX® Cosmetic safe?

    BOTOX® Cosmetic is FDA approved as safe for use in the temporary treatment of moderate to severe facial lines and wrinkles between the brows, on the forehead, and around the eyes. It should be administered only by trained professionals such as Dr. Chin and his medispa staff.

  • Are there risks or side effects of using BOTOX® Cosmetic?

    As with any procedure, BOTOX® Cosmetic is associated with some minor risks and side effects. These include eyelid drooping or swelling, discomfort, headaches, dry eyes, allergic reactions, and other side effects. Dr. Chin can provide you with more details during your consultation. Most patients will experience few or no side effects from treatment with BOTOX® Cosmetic.

  • How long does it take to see the results?

    You should begin to see noticeable results within one to five days after your procedure. Facial lines in the treated areas will continue to smooth themselves out for up to 30 days after your treatment.

  • How long do the results last?

    The results from a single treatment with BOTOX® Cosmetic can last four to six months.

  • Do I have to come back for repeat treatments?

    If you hope to maintain your youthful results, it will be necessary to repeat your BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments every four to six months. If you do not undergo repeat treatments, your lines and wrinkles will gradually return to the way they looked before your treatment.
